11 Best Nano Banana Use Cases
Nano Banana has been creating a crazy hype in the AI community! People all over the world have found hundreds of ways to use this tool. Let’s look at the 11 best use cases that will blow your mind!
1) eCommerce Product Carousels
Got a product, but find photoshoots too expensive? Nano Banana is your pocket-friendly alternative. Simply upload your product image along with a reference image of what you want. Then, enter a prompt and wait for the magic to happen!

Here are the prompts I used for generating a product carousel for Himalaya face wash.
Prompt 1: Create a photo like the blue bottle photo, but use the face wash pack and replace the ice cubes with orange slices and more green leaves. Keep the background a little natural and light with sunlight streaming in from the side.
Prompt 2: Make an Indian woman in casual attire smile and hold this face wash in her hand and show it to the camera.
Prompt 3: Create a photo like the white product photo, but use the Himalaya face wash pack and replace all the cucumbers with orange slices.
It was able to generate impressive visuals when I used a reference image. Overall, you can definitely create professional shots of your products with minimal iterations with Nano Banana.
2) Social Media Graphics
Creating graphics for social media just got easier! Whether it’s a blog banner, an Instagram post, or a YouTube thumbnail, just tell Nano Banana what you want and it’ll generate it for you. All you need to do is upload an image (if relevant) and enter your prompt for the graphic.

Here are the prompts for the YouTube giveaway thumbnail I created.
Prompt 1: Replace the banner in this image with a red gift box.
Prompt 2: Now transform this into a YouTube thumbnail: the man holds the gift with both hands, showing a shocked expression. Add the word ‘Giveaway’ in large, bold red font on the right side with a glowing outline. Enhance the gift with a bright glow effect, add sparkles and light streaks around it, and use a vibrant background with subtle rays or gradients to create an exciting, high-energy look.
If you are a content creator, YouTuber, or a social media enthusiast, this use case will add immense value to your workflow.
3) Professional Headshots
Need a professional photo but don’t have a camera setup or the time for a photoshoot? Don’t you worry. Nano Banana can quickly create professional-quality headshots for your LinkedIn profile. Just upload your photo and enter the following prompt.

Prompt: Generate a professional LinkedIn Profile Photo Headshot.
I like how it added a realistic smile but didn’t alter anything on my face. The image actually looks very convincing. All LinkedIn users should try it out!
4) Blending Images Together
Ever wanted to get a selfie clicked with your favorite celebrity? Or blend two different images into one? No worries. Nano Banana is here! To blend images, you simply need to upload your images and use the following prompt.

Prompt: Put these two people together [describe the situation and background].
Example 1: Put these two people together getting a photo clicked during an Indian traditional wedding reception with lighting, food stalls, and chairs in the background.
Example 2: Blend the two images so the man interviews the woman in a modern podcast studio. Add microphones, headphones, a laptop, a sound mixer, and warm studio lighting with acoustic panels for a professional podcast vibe.
Finally, my desire to get clicked with Modi ji was fulfilled – thanks to Nano Banana! 🙂 It’s interesting to see how precisely it regenerates a character from different angles!
5) Virtual Clothes Try-On
Tired of the hassle of shopping mall visits and trial rooms? And online shopping on Amazon or Myntra makes it even harder to know how an outfit will actually look on you. Enter Nano Banana. Now, you can virtually try on clothes from the comfort of your home!
Simply upload your photo along with a picture of the outfit you want to try. It will generate a completely new image of you in your desired outfit.

Here’s the prompt you can use:
Prompt: Create a new image by combining the elements from the provided images. Take the person from the first image and give them the outfit from image 2. Add [describe background details].
Example 1: Create a new image by combining the elements from the provided images. Take the person from the first image and give them the outfit from image 2. Add Thailand beaches in the background.
Example 2: Make the man in the white shirt wear the traditional outfit from image 2. Remove the mic and add a traditional Indian wedding background.
An important thing to note is that this use case may not work every time. I had to try multiple times to just get 2 virtual try-on outfits. But the generated results look graceful and realistic!
6) Consistent Characters
Until now, achieving character consistency has been a major challenge for AI models. But Nano Banana changes that. It generates characters with the same hairstyle, facial features, and body type across different poses and perspectives, every time.

Here, I created a cute, pink, doll-like character and tried to position it in different situations. You can also use the following prompts.
Prompt 1: Make the character in this image in a shopping mall, holding shopping bags
Prompt 2: Make the character in this image work on a laptop from home. She has headphones in her ears and a coffee cup in her hand.
Prompt 3: Make this character wear a white ball gown and give her side view.
It captures your character in different scenarios, expressions, and from different perspectives. I think this use case is perfect for creating storyboards, comics, children’s stories, animation movies, illustrated books, and more.
7) Redesigning Home Interiors
Redesigning your home just got easier with AI. From trying out new wallpapers to adding furniture in your living room or giving your backyard a makeover, Nano Banana makes it all possible.
For this use case, I uploaded a picture of the wall and the room I wanted to redesign. Then I also uploaded a picture of the wallpaper I wanted to try out virtually. Check out the different examples below.

Example 1: Image 1 has a grey wall that I want to replace with wallpaper. Apply the wallpaper in image 2 to the wall.
Example 2:
Prompt 1: Add a black L-shaped sofa in the middle with a glass table.
Prompt 2: Add a bookshelf on the cream-colored wall and a painting on the grey wall.
Prompt 3: Add a small Labrador playing with a boy on the sofa
I was quite impressed with how it also kept the sunlight and shadows consistent from the image, even with the wallpapers. All of these edits merely took 5 minutes in total. Interior designers should definitely give this tool a try!
8) Visualizing a Location
Here’s another cool example of Nano Banana’s capabilities. It lets you visualize a location from a specific viewpoint without actually being there at all! Simply point an arrow at any location on Google Maps, upload it, and watch it come to life. Here’s the prompt to use.

Prompt: Give me an image of what the red arrow sees.
It will give you the image of the location from the exact angle of the arrow. It’s really impressive and can be used for travel planning, navigation, accessibility, real estate, etc, to check what a place looks like before visiting it.
9) Shifting Camera Perspectives
Working on a storyboard or a comic? Or need product shots from different angles? Nano Banana can do that instantly. Just upload your image and specify the camera angle in your prompt like this:

Prompt: Give me the high-angle view of this image from above, looking down on the man.
You may not get accurate results every time. For example, in this image, along with switching the camera angle, it also changed the hand movements. You can fix this with follow-up prompts.
10) Restoring Old Photos
Got old photos of your parents or grandparents that are low quality or black-and-white? Nano Banana can not only restore its quality but also add color to it. Here’s how to do it. Just upload your old and blurry picture with Nano Banana enabled. Then type in this prompt.

Prompt: Enhance the quality of this photo and colorize it.
I loved how natural the colors in the image look. However, it doesn’t enhance the quality beyond a certain level. Even using keywords like 4K or ultra-high resolution doesn’t work as follow-up prompts.
11) Real World Annotations
This is yet another wild use case. Nano Banana can actually annotate the real world for you! Just take a snap of any location, landscape, building, or monument, and feed it to Nano Banana.
It will highlight the important elements in your image, annotate them, and provide relevant information about them.

Here’s the prompt you could use:
Prompt: You are a location-based AR experience generator. Highlight points of interest in this image and annotate relevant information about them.
The final edit looks so futuristic and modern! I can’t wait to try on AR glasses integrated with this cool technology.
Tips for Using Nano Banana
1) Make Specific Prompts
To get the best results out of Nano Banana, provide clear, direct, and specific inputs.
Instead of saying, “Design a YouTube thumbnail of a man at the Eiffel Tower”, say, “Design a YouTube thumbnail for a male travel vlogger visiting the Eiffel Tower, holding a camera, bright sky, and text overlay: ‘Paris Travel Guide ”
2) Use Reference Images
If you want a specific type of result, try to provide a reference image. This can help the AI generate more aligned outputs. For example, when creating product photoshoots, you can supply image references for inspiration.
3) Keep Iterating
In many use cases, you won’t find the best results in one go. You will have to keep on improving your prompt or providing follow-up prompts to generate what you need.
For example, to redesign your home interiors, you won’t get accurate edits if you supply all your requirements in one prompt itself. You need to provide your requirements one by one in follow-up prompts to generate the final edit.
