Whenever you join a meeting, the AI bot automatically transcribes the conversation in real time. OtterPilot can join the meeting, respond to queries, and complete post-meeting tasks. The live transcription quality is impressive.

While it doesn’t auto-detect speaker names, you can manually edit both the transcription and assign speaker labels. The transcription is available for free download in text format with speaker names and timestamps.

The app transcribes your meetings. You can choose from 16 supported languages: English, French, Dutch, Italian, German, etc. The transcription accuracy is high, and it correctly labels multiple speakers when I upload my meeting file.

When I clicked on Summarize, Krisp AI Note Taker provided me with key meeting highlights under the Notes section. You can also instantly generate action items. The tool offers preset templates to help with note creation.

When you log in, the dashboard is simple. You’ll find clearly labeled buttons to upload files, record virtual meetings, use the instant recorder, and even record your screen. It takes just a few seconds to process and transcribe a meeting. 

In my tests, it accurately detected multiple speakers from pre-recorded files. It doesn’t auto-label speaker names. That said, the transcription quality was accurate. But you can’t view a full transcription with a free account. 

The app also generates structured meeting notes, including a summary, chapters, and action items. One unique feature is the AI-generated mind map. You can edit and download it for free.

Notta offers domain-specific templates for meeting notes. For instance, I used a template designed for users with an IT and engineering background. Whenever you join meetings live or upload recordings, Fireflies quickly provide transcriptions. In my case, the transcription included speaker labels and timestamps. But the speaker detection wasn’t accurate. It misidentified three speakers when there were only two.

On the left panel, the Smart Search Dashboard offers a powerful interface for analyzing meeting data. AI filters highlight key questions, tasks, and metrics mentioned during the meeting. These advanced insights are available in the Pro version only. It also provides sentiment analysis and speaker talk time. So, I can evaluate the tone and contributions of each participant.

Fireflies also generate meeting overviews, action items, and highlight notes, summarizing the key discussion points. We can use the AI Apps with preset prompts to quickly draft content like follow-up emails. With the Index button, you can scroll through key sections in just one click.

Two standout features are AskFred AI and Magic Soundbite. AskFred is an AI chat tool that allows you to ask questions about your meetings. For example, I asked it to summarize user feedback related to compliance management, and it provided clear, concise responses.

One of Tactiq’s biggest advantages is that it offers a bot-free experience and does not record your meetings. The meeting dashboard is packed with features. It allows you to manually take notes, add comments, and even access all the screenshots or screen recordings you captured during the meeting.

AI Workflow in Tactiq simplifies post-meeting tasks. You can extract meeting insights and share them across platforms without switching apps. For example, I used the “Save AI Meeting Summary in GDrive” option. After connecting my Google Drive account, I clicked “Run,” selected the meeting recording, and the tool automatically saved a summary file, including the date, participant names, and a link to the transcription.

However, Tactiq takes some time to process and provide transcriptions for uploaded recordings (this delay doesn’t apply to live meetings with real-time transcription). In my test, it also failed to detect multiple speakers. It generated a single, time-stamped transcript without labeling individual speakers, as shown in the Speaker Stats section.

Once the transcription is ready, Tactiq offers built-in AI tools with preset prompts to help you generate quick summaries and action items. I also used Tactiq’s AI tools to draft a summary email. 

The output was accurate and well-structured, complete with a subject line and greetings. The email was ready to copy and paste directly into Gmail. Best of all, you can export the full transcript and AI-generated summaries in .txt, .doc, or .pdf formats.

Sonnet AI automates your entire meeting workflow, from planning to joining the call, and finally, generating meeting insights. Before any meeting, you can view participant backgrounds and use the Upcoming Events calendar to schedule and receive reminders so you never miss a call.

During meetings, Sonnet records audio only (not video). You can also upload meeting audio files to generate transcriptions. While the transcription accuracy was impressive, I was disappointed with the output formatting. It doesn’t detect multiple speakers or provide time-stamped segments for each.

What impressed me the most? The Notes section—it’s excellent. Sonnet automatically categorizes meeting notes into Overview, Key Topics, Questions, Action Items, and Key Takeaways.

If you’re looking for an AI-powered meeting assistant that takes user data privacy seriously, Fellow is a good choice. It was launched in 2017 and follows security measures, including GDPR compliance, AES 256-bit encryption, SOC 2 Type II compliance, etc. 

You can use Fellow via its desktop app. Personally, I found the interface a bit complex for beginners. At the top, there’s a “+” icon to join meetings or upload files. Once you upload or join, it takes a few minutes to generate the transcription.

The transcription accuracy was good. But it incorrectly detected three speakers and failed to label their names. Plus, there’s no option to manually edit speaker names or the transcription. That said, Fellow automatically generates a summary, action items, and decisions under the Highlights section.

You can also track participant attendance from the Speaker Stats. It correctly noted each join and leave time. I also received individual speaker talk time and percentage of presence.

Fellow’s Note section allows for manual note-taking with formatting tools like bullets, subheadings, and more. This is especially helpful for teams who prefer structure over automation.

At the bottom of the meeting dashboard, you’ll find the “Ask Fellow” button. I used it to generate a follow-up email. The output was well-structured, complete with a subject line and greeting. You can copy the content directly and export the meeting assets as a video (MP4), transcript (TXT), or AI recap (TXT).

Whenever you join a meeting, MeetGeek automatically connects. You can also upload past recordings under the Upload section. It generates call transcriptions within a few minutes. The accuracy was moderate, but I got time-stamped transcripts.

On the right panel, MeetGeek displays meeting highlights segmented by timeline. Under the Summary section, I received detailed information on the meeting recap, Next Steps, and AI Insights. However, I noticed that some highlights and topics were repeated.

What stood out most to me were Meeting Insights. Although Fireflies and Fellow offer similar features, MeetGeek’s insights are far more detailed. It includes Speaker Distribution (talk time, words per minute) and Most Popular Themes presented in color-coded blocks. It also gives feedback on agenda follow-through, participation, sentiment, engagement, and a Meeting Productivity Score.

Last, the Context section displays AI-generated agendas. You can manually set your calendar agenda as well. A basic notepad is available for jotting down key points manually.

From the main dashboard, you can access AI Chat to find key decisions, customer quotes, or get coaching feedback from previous calls. I used it to draft a follow-up email, but the output was fairly basic compared to other apps.
